How it works

We make it quick to reach an egress installer that serves your address.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us your town and what you're planning: a new basement bedroom, a too-small window that needs enlarging, a rusted or leaking well, a cover, or a code question from an inspector or buyer.

  2. We connect you with a local company

Calls and requests go to an independent egress window installer or basement contractor that serves Duluth and the Twin Ports.

  3. The company handles the job

They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.

What we are and aren't

Duluth Egress Windows is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

An egress job usually combines digging, concrete cutting, window installation and interior trim, and Minnesota's Department of Labor and Industry requires a residential building contractor or remodeler license for contractors who sell homeowners work in more than one special skill. Look up any license on the DLI website. Duluth issues permits for window work through Construction Services and Inspections. In Wisconsin, whoever applies for a permit on a one- or two-family home needs Dwelling Contractor credentials unless it's the owner who lives there, and Superior requires contractors to register with the city. Ask who will pull the permit and get a written contract.
